ABOUT ME
I feel my rebellious spirit has been my greatest gift and curse. I question things a lot because the way things are done often prioritizes efficiency, scale, and growth over the human experience. My father raised me to treat people as people—never looking down on others and never putting them on pedestals.

I’m from and still live in Zanesville, OH, a very large small town. I like the slow-moving atmosphere and have built my ideas, business, and creativity one car ride at a time, traveling to Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, and well beyond Ohio for work.
I shifted gears in 2011 to “get serious” and found my way into music videos. I’m a retired scene kid—I get the musician’s journey, drive, and passion. Naturally, I work well with dream-chasers. My drive was to help. I built my style of production around relationships and trust, taking time to understand an artist’s story, aspirations, and goals before ever picking up a camera.

Over the years, we've evolved into brand storytelling, documentaries, and narrative work, with the occasional commercial project. Ultimately, working with me comes down to alignment. If I feel connected, understand the mission, and believe we're the right fit, I'll work my magic.

My strong suit has always been the humanity piece. My unpopular opinion? Less client-getting, more creative connection. I focus on preparing for the next big opportunity, learning what others want, and building teams that thrive on collaboration. While I’m introverted, I crave deep, meaningful, and vulnerable conversations—the kind that inspire me and help me grow.

I’d say my clients don’t hire me just for my body of work—they hire me for who we are. While I run a small company, JECP and everything I touch is rooted deeply in culture. My goal is to make creativity more accessible, fun, and full of care. I don’t do transactions. It has to mean more. I need to be invigorated and excited to partner with someone on a project.

On set, I’m more than my position. I think like an editor, shoot like a cinematographer, lead with kindness, and invite collaboration at every step. Like many artists, I struggle with insecurity—even today. My cure? Creating with people I trust. They hold me accountable, make the process fun, and turn every project into a memory I look back on fondly.

I’m driven to do my best work, become my best self, and leave the creative community better than I found it.
HISTORY

2024-Present
Days of chasing a sponsor for skateboarding, attending lots of metal shows, and taking a video editing class sparked the fire for being creative. The experimental fun days before it got serious.
Buckled things up, tried to find paying clients, and got better at production while being a poor leader and owner. I had my fair share of humble pie, and things started clicking.
I did some incredible work, but was broke, so I threw in the towel for 8 months and took a job while I rediscovered my purpose and place in creativity. It's people and experience.
I learned my business owner and marketer more than my cinematographer, gaining valuable mindsets and new learnings and becoming a much better husband, father, and friend.
Overcoming the most challenging year of this business and getting back to my inner artist, leaning into filmmaking while still having a massive foundation in marketing, strategy, and creative resources. It's up from here.
WANNA GO DEEPER?
