UNWELL TEAM,

Our main objective craft new music videos(s) to support the next chapter of Unwell with a focus on band energy, togetherness, and bringing Unwell more into reality with in-camera work and building towards more marketing for a touring fan base.

In addition, our hope is to strengthen the relationship between Unwell and JECP with a more direct and collaborative experience. The best experiences we craft are ones that extend beyond production and tip into art direction, creative strategy, and helping our artists discover themselves deeper.

Review the below proposal, collect your questions and concerns and let's schedule a time to review together and determine how and when we can move forward best! We're excited to make something happen in 2022 and eager to chat.

CREATIVE

OVERVIEW

While we want to visually stun the audience, our core focus will be on band energy, which will support a more live aspect of what Unwell is doing and letting the audience feel what it's like to experience the band.

In addition, we want to personalize each performance from set design, mood, lighting, and other creative decisions. This attention to detail will make each film more intentional, interesting, and hitting that pro-level. Our hope is to refine these ideas so that we can create a more consistent and long-term feel to the Unwell brand as you're venturing into this next chapter.

We love the looks of the last projects, but feel the biggest strength moving forward is treating the next phase more with an emphasis on consistency.

In addition to creative support, we are eager to come in and refine performances, strengthen that and make videos we're all very proud of.

PROPOSAL ONE | Full Campaign proposal serving 2 Music Videos, the traditional deliverables, and us coming to Michigan for a weekend of production.

HOW WE DO,

WHAT WE DO

OUR CORE VALUES

By being consistent, persistent and dependable, while treating people as people we will deliver great experiences for both our clients and team, showcasing JECP as an example of great leadership in creativity, business practices, and community building, ultimately leading to return customers, great word of mouth and earning a positive reputation for care to our craft, service, and industry.

We work with artists and freelancers who embody these values, as it ensures forward progress, creative outcomes, and a culture of learners.

Curious

We want mutual relationships that support each other. We try to remain open-minded so we can ensure people's viewpoints are heard and the best projects are delivered consistently. We chase great experiences over being right.

Honest

Within the music industry, there's such a lack of accountability, ethics, and gatekeeping. We do honest work, with clear intentions. The work we do is exciting and fun, but egos get checked at the door. Great work happens with trust and trust is built on honesty.

Growth-minded

We seek the best answers, not to be right, but to make the best work. Learn to learn and you can do anything.

Supportive

We are in each project together. The success of each artist and creative supports the success of the next. We make each play one at a time, realizing the long game takes a group effort by our team and our clients.

Personal

While providing a service has created a business, each aspect we strive to create a personal and human feeling to make all of this fun and approachable. The number one piece we hope is for these projects to establish a relationship over a transaction.

PROCESS

Every project takes a similar approach to create success. The biggest factor is staying clear and transparent in communication. Both parties want a project to work smoothly. We aim to reduce stress and answer questions, so we are in the most creative production mindset. Pre-production requires syncing everyone’s schedules, securing gear, locations, and freelancers, as well as preparing wardrobe, MU, and props. We run a tight ship with to-do’s for all parties and that’s how we deliver such consistent projects and experiences for our clients. Our ask is that clients respect the process and help us gather information and confirm along the way.  Let’s make it a win-win scenario.

SHOOT DAY

We run our productions in a clean and fast time frame. We ask that clients be respectful of the schedule, but understand that perfection can take time. Work with us, and we will all create the best project. We try to stay on schedule while being open to ideas that can make the project its best.

POST-PRODUCTION

Internally we work through our rough cut to a fine cut for clients to fast track a single set of revisions. We can prioritize one piece over the other into a list we work down. 30-60 days turnaround time with one round of revisions. Bills at $100/hr with additional revisions.

VISUAL INSPIRATIONS

ADTR

In general, ADTR is a good reference, but what we like most about this video is the creative performance of the band. They managed to use a set that looks cool but communicates a larger idea with show flyers covering the wall. They have played and put in the work, love their craft and it shows. Our hope would be to bring life and uniqueness into set design while giving Unwell the space to play full of energy.

While She Sleeps

Not that we want to do exactly this, but we do feel this is one of those peak performance-oriented videos. What strikes us the most is a unique usage of the location, arrangement of the band, and with this being a more timed approach we thought it played similarly into the idea of building choreography into a video with intentional cut points.

CLIENT NOTE

In taking on this project at a discounted rate, we want to clarify why, deeper than doing a favor. In addition to wanting to build upon the last film we did for Unwell, we love how hard we've seen you all working, the energy and respect you brought to our last project, and are willing to compromise full rates to make the financial hurdle easier.

We are gifting pre-production and post-production costs, leaving only production-related costs.

WHY JECP?

_CS_6680.jpg

FEAR CULTURE

"They excel at so many things; it's almost scary.

The amount of planning they put into every project is unmatched.

It's comforting to see how much they care about the project

and how every single detail is thought out well before the shoot date."
