PROPOSAL EXPIRESJune 18th

WELCOME TO YOUR PROPOSAL

Chris & Softspoken,

Our main objective is to deliver a project that hits goals, creates connections, and gives you more confidence in marketing. At JECP, the relationship is everything. As much as we want this project to be beautiful, we want to earn trust and form a long-term partnership.

Below, you will see your creative brief and 3 options for making the project possible. We look forward to serving you and giving you a great experience.

OVERVIEW

Let's immerse fans in a new experience. I want this campaign to build upon previous videos and tie art direction together while telling a more emotional and impactful story. On the marketing side, let's go deeper and give more attention and intention to content creation on the high level and lower levels.

Every production has taught us something new and elevated the experience. I see this 2024 campaign as the one I want to really showcase my love for Softspoken, give the fans and potential fans something to sink their teeth into, and evolve beyond music video producer to even more of a partner in content creation and storyteller for your team.

Once we determine which proposal makes the most sense, we can craft the production that matches that experience. However, our main objective is to make this visual campaign the most successful in terms of reaching your current fan base and beyond.

ATTENTION: PROPOSAL NOTE

We are running a promo in May, so if we sign the contract before the end of the month, I can extend that to this project and save you more money. This proposal mimics our art-direction packages.

THE CREATIVE BRIEF

LET'S LEARN MORE ABOUT WHAT WE CAN DO FOR YOU

YOUR STORY

While this whole campaign centers around Invincible, I have compiled a treatment for the other two tracks, TWYLAM & OMEN, as well. Like last time I want to give you options to either focus solo on Invincible or up the production quality, storytelling and volume of deliverables for the other two tracks.

INVINCIBLE

This goes around. I want to borrow from the story and emotion we created in The Road and bring that into Invincible, focusing on some sort of athlete and the euphoric moments as well as hardship. This will show the duality of life and how we can overcome obstacles while adding some over-the-top moments that match more of the feeling than the reality, both on the positive and dark side of situations.

I have added three videos as references. Rot by Northlane captures the rooftop and band feelings and uses slow motion to make it feel huge. The other two films aren't music videos but capture athleticism with creative production. They are two of my favorite films I have ever produced, and ideally, I would like Invincible to be an opportunity to top these or complement them as artistic and emotionally driven. The Spektra Film & Craft of Poetry are those examples.

Ideally, we are single band members, and the majority storyline for this video is with a great actor.

TWYLAM

In short, I want to showcase hurt people hurt people as the concept, tying into the cancel culture theme without being on the nose. My thought is to infuse some empathy into the situation. If we can humanize a keyboard warrior and the negativity and darkness surrounding them with a bit of paranoia, this would visually be powerful while distancing ourselves from something like an old typewriter. For the band element, I want to find more dark, dingy, and older-looking locations, use less light, and embrace the darkness with energetic band shots.

Reflection, contemplation, stress, anxiety, and time should play a role in this creative. Ideally we could work in a TV and propaganda media to trigger the actor for the video. From a cinematography standpoint, I want to vary the frame rate and distance and utilize glass to distort reality. Any way we can make a frame feel less like reality, I want to lean into that, again with the idea that our minds need healing. In the end, I would like this character to enter reality and see the light literally.

I have attached a TDWP video for a story, acting, and lighting inspiration and Wage War for Band shots/location/lighting/details. Ideally, this is a bit heavier on band shots, creative in frame rates, and fast-paced in the story.

OMEN

I'm gifting this video. I have a vision that I feel will only work well with Softspoken. This video will essentially be our Performer Curated package ($13k). I have wanted to top our video for Heavy Things with the Frame within Frames idea, as well as the Dreamwalker Forever Adrift Greenscreen work. I don't often subject myself to green screen work, but I love working with you guys, and as long as you can grant me patience on this video in post-production, I want to stretch myself beyond my limits, make something that feels like $100k and do it with people I can trust.

I have attached a few references to the Hands Like Houses video, a still from I Think You Should Leave, and the Heavy Things video. Ideally, we shoot on greenscreen, have fun, and make a really playful and highly art-directed video. I can also see us pulling color inspiration from LovTok to bridge the gap, and with this video being more eye candy and attention-grabbing, it makes the case for seeking attention.

THE HURDLES

Let's not cram everything in. Ideally, I want to take our time on this production, scale up the team a bit more, and bring more tools to the table to enhance the Softspoken brand.

We have done a good job of working together time after time quickly, but this round I want to make the experience better, raise the bar on creativity and give the fans something huge to sink their teeth into.

THE SOLUTION

I want this to be one of the big projects I apply myself to in 2024. I know timing is everything, but I want to make this happen one way or another. In May we have discounts on packages to help you save money. We are utilizing Payment plans more frequently to help more artists do better work more easily. Additionally, utilizing our referral program can help you guys make money and get additional discounts or credits toward more work.

I want to go beyond the music video and typical deliverables. We have added more add-ons beyond the music video that are focused on promo content and making artists better marketers. With the Curated package, I am gifting this to make it go as far as possible. Softspoken is the one band that I feel, if I help succeed, will become the prime case study for other artists and give me more belief in what we are trying to do differently at JECP. Help artists evolve, deliver amazing experiences, and craft the best art in Ohio.

JECP is honored to work with talented artists, serve great experiences, and make ideas possible.  In working with us, you grow our small business, continue our operations, provide freelancers jobs, help serve our vendors, and allow our footprint on your musical journey.

We love our work, appreciate the artists who trust us and want to keep moving this business onward.

WHY JECP?

"They excel at so many things; it's almost scary.

The amount of planning they put into every project is unmatched.

It's comforting to see how much they care about the project

and how every single detail is thought out well before the shoot date."

Sean Divine

FEAR CULTURE

"It was a fantastic experience to trust JECP and let them take our idea and

make it into something incredible. From the start, Josh and Ross helped to discuss our vision, goals, and ideas

for the video, which was new for us.

Honestly, it can be terrifying to hand over your project to someone else and trust that they "get it," but it turned out to be our best-received video to date."

CHRIS WEATHINGTON

SOFTSPOKEN

"The amount of content that we got to go with our music video was what sold me,

which took our release to the next level.

The coaching on set helped break us out of our shells and give our best performance.

The JECP guys are fantastic, and I recommend you every chance I get."
