PROPOSAL EXPIRES: December 30th

WELCOME TO YOUR PROPOSAL

Josh & Sakoya Team,

As we embark on this exciting journey together, our aim is to not only produce visually captivating music videos but also to help Sakoya crystalize and amplify their brand identity. Our collaborative effort will focus on presenting Sakoya in a new light, elevating their unique style and musical voice through engaging visuals and thematic consistency.

Below, we have listed a few options to review, and tune back into us for scheduling, questions, or concerns. We're eager for you to dig in and review!

OVERVIEW

Our proposal outlines a strategic approach to developing a cohesive visual identity for Sakoya, enhancing their narrative through performance-driven and, eventually, narrative-focused music videos. We're proposing three options, each designed to elevate Sakoya's brand and strengthen their connection with fans.

Creative Direction

On our call, we discussed three songs that need visual support in the upcoming year. Amends and Purge were referenced as performance videos, and This Life felt more like a narrative-driven video. Our biggest goal is to find a way to create a connection between these videos through band performance, acting, set design, color theory, or any mixture of things. Even with performance videos, we want to keep the narrative in mind as we build to it, ensuring that these videos connect and strengthen the Sakoya brand.

More than anything, we want to make some great performances, do it in an eye-catching manner, coach the band through takes, and make it fun while we do so. We see creativity as a collaborative process, and some of the big things we would discuss after deciding which proposal makes the most sense are attire options, color or reference artwork like existing designs, what these songs really mean, and how they can all tie together. If we land on a batch-produced production, there's a way to pull things from one production to increase all of the video quality, like with actors and props, giving us more ability to tell a compelling story.

  • Pre-Production Collaboration: Working closely with Sakoya, we will explore reference films and tracks to uncover common themes that resonate with the band's evolving identity.

  • Performance-Driven Videos: Initially focusing on performance, we aim to capture the raw energy and authenticity of Sakoya.

  • Narrative Exploration: For the later video(s), we'll delve into a more narrative-driven approach, further developing the band's story.

Keywords: Human-centric, Real Stories, Growth-Mindset, Cohesion

Execution

We have three options listed below for investment and treat our music videos as products. We like to keep in mind relationship is the most important element to get right for great creative work. We've built a process that helps support great music videos, but more importantly, great experiences and building better artists.

In short, our highest option lets us batch produce more work over less time, pooling resources, helping maintain more consistency, and offsetting long-term costs. Our mid-tier option still lets us do damage but would strip back deliverables and resources, and typically, it is where most of our artists land project to project. It's safe while adding solid value. Our lowest option is great for testing the waters, but we recommend doing something more simplistic so that we can iron out details on future projects. This package is cheaper in total cost but is really focused on building trust to work into the next project.

THE CREATIVE BRIEF

LET'S LEARN MORE ABOUT WHAT WE CAN DO FOR YOU

YOUR STORY

This is a new chapter for Sakoya. Our goal is to start fresh and create a transformative visual experience that truly represents who Sakoya is and aspires to be. Our team will lead in developing concepts that align with Sakoya's vision, ensuring each video becomes a milestone in their artistic journey.

Recognizing Sakoya's ongoing efforts in building a strong fan base, our content strategy will support and enhance their social media presence. We aim to provide a steady stream of high-quality content that resonates with their audience and strengthens their online engagement.

THE HURDLES

Our primary challenge lies in refining the creative vision while optimizing time and resources. We must decide whether to concentrate on one high-caliber video or expand into a multi-video campaign. While logistical aspects present hurdles, especially with our proposed January production start and March release timeline, timely planning in December ensures we meet both creative and logistical objectives seamlessly.

THE SOLUTION

Tailored Options

  • From a single video to a full narrative trilogy, each option is crafted to suit Sakoya's ambitions and budget.

Creative Partnership

  • Our process is highly collaborative, ensuring that Sakoya's voice is at the forefront of every creative decision.

Value-Added Deliverables

  • Beyond music videos, we offer a suite of assets, including teasers, stills, promos, and BTS content, distinguishing our approach from conventional music video production.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • Strategic Brand Development: Focused on establishing and enhancing Sakoya's visual identity.

  • Tailored Creative Options: Ranging from one to three videos, each designed to progressively build Sakoya's narrative.

  • Collaborative Process: Close partnership in conceptualizing and executing each video.

  • Comprehensive Content Strategy: Supporting Sakoya's fan engagement and social media presence with diverse and captivating content.

  • Flexible Budgeting: Offering options to accommodate varying budgetary considerations while maintaining high-quality output.

We look forward to discussing these options further and embarking on this creative venture with Sakoya.

HOW WE DO WHAT WE DO

THE JECP WAY: EVOLVING ARTISTS

Every project takes a similar approach to create success. The most significant factor is staying clear and transparent in communication. Both parties want a project to work smoothly. We aim to reduce stress and answer questions to have the most creative production mindset.

By being consistent, persistent, and dependable while treating people as people, we will deliver great experiences for both our clients and team, showcasing JECP as an example of great leadership in creativity, business practices, and community building,  ultimately leading to return customers, great word of mouth, and earning a positive reputation for care for our craft, service, and industry.

We work with artists and freelancers who embody these values, as it ensures forward progress, creative outcomes, and a culture of learners.

While providing a service has created a business, in each aspect, we strive to create a personal and human feeling to make all of this fun and approachable.

Our main goal is for these projects to establish a relationship over a transaction, and if we truly succeed, we create a transformation in our artists.

Curious

Our leadership embodies "asking why" and embracing the exciting and challenging conversations that drive relationships forward.

Understanding our partner's needs is our foundation. We remain open-minded to ensure people's viewpoints are heard, cultivating the best projects consistently.

honest

There's a lack of accountability, ethics, and gatekeeping within the music industry.

We do honest work with clear intentions; ethics are king in our decision-making.

We believe this leads to personal trust and the healthiest work setting, community, and vulnerability.

supportive

We partner with those who value a focus on growth, sustainability, and proactive momentum.

These efforts make for win-win-win scenarios, celebrating success together. The success of each artist and creative supports the success of the next. We make each play one at a time, realizing the long game takes a group effort by our team and our clients.

PROJECT TIMELINE

REFERENCE FILMS

Practical Set Design, and Creative Direction

These videos stand out the most to us from our conversation. Beyond a performance video, each of these has great energy, but also a really cool and intentional set design. Thinking about growth and how we feel dealing with life's challenges the plant life could be a symbol of life and death. Maybe in one video use this to showcase growth and another more challenging subject showcasing death or destruction. This is just a loose idea. Additionally, we really enjoy the consistency in attire and fashion for these videos. Look them over and gather some thoughts for our call. these aren't meant to be exact copies, but inspiration pieces!

Something to Consider: The Band Story

A big push we want to make in the coming years is using our documentary filmmaker muscles. Our whole other business in the corporate space focused on this skillset, and feel most artists could benefit from this. If you land on the top option, we would like to gift this for free in the package.

Think mini-doc, but we get to the heart of why this band is around, the experience and aspirations you guys have and to get a bit vulnerable a human about how important this project has been to you. Sharing mainly the Denihilist film here but also tagging in a few others that are emotionally powerful. The idea here is to make something a bit more evergreen and not just promote an album, but create a legacy piece for what this band stands for.

FEAR CULTURE

"They excel at so many things; it's almost scary.

The amount of planning they put into every project is unmatched.

It's comforting to see how much they care about the project

and how every single detail is thought out well before the shoot date."
