RITUAL CULT MV CAMPAIGN

PROPOSAL EXPIRES

NOV 26TH, 2022

Logan & RR Team,

Our main objective is to craft 1-3 music videos to support this transition and growth period while establishing a working relationship between Revision Revised and JECP. As much as we want this music video to be beautiful, we want to earn trust and form a long-term partnership.

We feel the strongest way to reach the "industry-standard" feel is to tighten up the band's performances through intentional coaching, stylizing through attire and lighting, and bringing your best qualities to your fan base. In addition, we want to craft a universe of films by establishing strong art direction through color theory, character building (The Keeper), and using actors in a more pro-level letting these cinematic opportunities feel more pro-level than college. This all comes in the form of establishing a stronger relationship between JECP x RR, learning our process, and being collaborative in making art. Our process is designed to make videos beautiful, enhance your experience and deliver more confident pieces of marketing.

Below we have listed a few options to review, and tune back into us for scheduling, questions, or concerns. We're eager for you to dig in and review!

CREATIVE

CREATIVE OVERVIEW

This project feels important to us, mostly because we want to be a part of the re-emergence of RR and ensure that these videos match the care and time put into the videos, as well as secure a partnership you can trust and feel comfortable with. We want to evolve the brand and have a few ways to do this. Our big driver is landing on a creative direction that can be strong throughout these singles and start creating a collective universe of films, making the brand consistent and emphasizing a wow factor to make these videos connective and entertaining and strengthen the RR brand like never before.

Our main focus would be to decide early in the creative process on a character that can go from one film to the next, marrying the art direction throughout multiple films, even in subtle ways to increase the band's visual strength. We see a goddess character as the through-line and find prop details that symbolize this character's worship and obsession. This will allow us to use color theory, lighting, props, and the character and create wow-facter. We're Naming this Goddess "The Keeper." Below I have some notes recapping our call.

Discovery Call Notes

  • Heavier but recently its progressing more towards rock side

  • Ritual Cult is heavier and then transitioning to hard rock

  • Singles focus marketing with three songs ready to go

  • Main goal is to give a professional, industry-standard touch to RR

  • Already producing content besides these videos

  • Looking for someone they can trust and go to when in need - Values partnership

  • Giving this current push a serious go

Ritual Cult

We think this video would follow past video themes well but button up the creative and execution. The biggest area we see room for improvement is better execution of band shots. The energy and performance are in every video within the catalog but have yet to be captured compellingly. We focus on coaching our artists to give their best performances, look their best and ensure the most important aspect of the band is marketed well; your selves.

Secondly, the past catalog videos fall short in the story elements. They are close, but the set design, lighting, or styling of the characters leaves these videos feeling more college-level than industry-standard. We have budgeted for props, attire, talent, and time to coach and press talent to perform better. We also want to be more intentional with these decisions to establish and continue a story from one video into the next, giving your audience a more cohesive experience.

Lastly, we want to marry all this with the wow-factor, designing the Keeper Character to be scary, interesting, and visual eye candy. We've presented a few options in the mood board with varying degrees of styling. Each has pros and cons and can be discussed together. This is to give inspiration and for us to discuss together.

Recap

  • Stronger Band Shots

  • Wooded or indoor with better lighting

  • Coaching band shots

  • Styling talent + Directing

  • Better lighting

  • Intentional Art-direction

  • Wow-factor for Ads

  • Developed Keeper Character

Beyond This Video

We always want to future-proof our artists. A good video is never enough and rarely creates a good return on investment. Consistency often beats creativity, so we have options to move forward with a more campaign-focused production, too, making multiple videos over a weekend production, maximizing budget, saving long-term dollars, and raising the quality control on all the videos simultaneously. The idea would be that these $7k feeling videos come across as more like $40-$70k level productions by batch producing, maximizing my crew, playing to our efficiency strengths, and using talent in a more streamlined approach. This would let us up our production budget on locations and gear rentals, giving us extra bells and whistles and increasing the RR brand quality.

Benefits

  • Increase per video value [$40k videos]

  • Long-term savings

  • Maximize JECP Crew

  • Maximize Talent + Props budget

  • Get ahead of the marketing curve [become proactive]

  • Increases gear and location budget potential

HOW WE DO,
WHAT WE DO

THE JECP WAY

By being consistent, persistent, and dependable, while treating people as people we will deliver great experiences for both our clients and team,

showcasing JECP as an example of great leadership in creativity, business practices, and community building,

ultimately leading to return customers, great word of mouth,

and earning a positive reputation for

care for our craft, service, and industry.

We work with artists and freelancers who embody these values,

as it ensures forward progress, creative outcomes,

and a culture of learners.

While providing a service has created a business,

in each aspect, we strive to create a personal and human feeling

to make all of this fun and approachable.

Our main goal is for these projects to establish a relationship over a transaction, and if we truly succeed,

we create a transformation in our artists.

Curious

Our leadership embodies "asking why" and embracing the exciting and challenging conversations that drive relationships forward.

Understanding our partner's needs is our foundation. We remain open-minded to ensure people's viewpoints are heard, cultivating the best projects consistently.

honest

There's a lack of accountability, ethics, and gatekeeping within the music industry.

We do honest work with clear intentions; ethics are king in our decision-making.

We believe this leads to personal trust and the healthiest work setting, community, and vulnerability.

supportive

We partner with those who value a focus on growth, sustainability, and proactive momentum.

These efforts make for win-win-win scenarios, celebrating success together. The success of each artist and creative supports the success of the next. We make each play one at a time, realizing the long game takes a group effort by our team and our clients.

OUR RECIPE

Every project takes a similar approach to create success. The biggest factor is staying clear and transparent in communication. Both parties want a project to work smoothly. We aim to reduce stress and answer questions, so we are in the most creative production mindset. Pre-production requires syncing everyone’s schedules, securing gear, locations, and freelancers, as well as preparing wardrobe, MU, and props. We run a tight ship with to-do’s for all parties and that’s how we deliver such consistent projects and experiences for our clients. Our ask is that clients respect the process and help us gather information and confirm along the way.  Let’s make it a win-win scenario.

VISUAL INSPIRATIONS

Ryan Caraveo

Hip-hip artists have the best creative treatments these days and challenge filmmaking boundaries. This video shows a character going into the woods chasing a goddess and becoming a part of their ritual. I think it's very fitting for this track. I also love the mood and tone, and nails a very horror vibe through natural environments.

SpiritBox

This video is a fan in the heavy realm as they have Kourtney play a character and tie directly into the art direction. With this being more natural, we could tie in intimate band shots and have you styled to match the cult subtly and play into the larger theme and feel like an elevated version of past videos and going more pro. Additionally this plays into ritual and cult worship and we could take an approach for better thumbnails and wow factos for the video and ads.

CLIENT NOTE

We see this as a bridge to finally building a healthy relationship with Revision Revised + Co. The artists we work with are driven and care for their futures and see JECP as a partner in creative decisions. We want to evolve our artists and give a pro-level treatment in return for trust in the creative process.

We are gifting pre-production and partial post-production costs, leaving only production-related costs untouched as we can't shift industry rates and labor hours. The discounts in each quote are reflected in these areas. In addition, to earn trust and partnership, I'm gifting 50% of my usual rate in production to add support to production in other crew and gear, making these projects high-level at reduced costs to Revision Revised.

what's next?

review. decide. Sign.

Take some time to look at the full proposal together, ask questions, and we can dig into the nitty-gritty on our next call. We can decide which option suits you best and draw up the invoice, contract, and other paperwork needed to make it official during this call.

Once we agree, we officially enter pre-production, setting dates, securing locations, props, gear, team, and all the small things.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions or concerns. We are eager to build something special for the Revision Revised and hope for one of these sticks!

FEAR CULTURE

"They excel at so many things; it's almost scary.

The amount of planning they put into every project is unmatched.

It's comforting to see how much they care about the project

and how every single detail is thought out well before the shoot date."
