HI PFTM TEAM,

Our main objective is to build a project that takes what we did with the previous videos and elevates the PFTM brand significantly further, matching more of what the largest industry artists in pop, punk, and the likes are executing while creatively using our resources in Ohio to keep costs affordable. We loved working with the PFTM team last year and believe this proposal will let us keep a great experience, yet really make something next level for both JECP and PFTM. Our main objective is to strengthen the relationship and brands of both parties while making the process fun.

The proposals below are creatively satisfying and with varied budgets and levels of involvement. Please review, gather questions, and after revision let's book a call to discuss which option feels best for PFTM's upcoming marketing efforts!

OVERVIEW

While each of these films has its own unique standing, we have built these quotes with previous videos and art direction in mind so we aren't just building fresh, but truly building upon the existing PFTM video catalog.

Our main takeaway is giving you guys plenty of deliverables to build out a successful release campaign, have interactive content, and stay engaged with your audience.

Through props, lighting, location, and attire we want to play into two primary colors and a few secondary colors to marry all these projects together. Pink/red and Blue/cyan are the drivers and aqua, pale green and yellows are our supportive colors. We have these videos designed to make use of these colors.

For tone we are creating and shaping a more upbeat experience, letting the band and character be more playful, with utilized lighting that brings in some mood and commercial pop style feelings. The creative for each video and film inspiration are below.

Proposal 1 - This proposal covers three full music videos and traditional deliverables to support totaling 90+ assets. It's doable with a full, specialized crew and managing time by scaling up.

Proposal 2 - This proposal is to cover the three music videos, with a simplified approach to scenes, props, locations and using a small crew and less specialized gear. It totals in 60+ deliverables assets.

Proposal 3 - This proposal is only focused on Looking Over You and Chapter 2, keeping the production lighter in the crew, gear, and locations, while stripping props expenses back too. Deliverables include 30+

CREATIVE

LOOKING OVER YOU

This will be a full studio music video, focusing on PFTM playing in a variety of settings, with plenty of energy, and using props like balloons and flowers to dress the space up and create a unique film. Pairing this with lighting tricks, rotating camera, and jib camera move will be drastically different from other projects in our portfolio.

General Ideas

  • Playful and upbeat music video

  • helium balloons - in colors

  • Inflatable Rocket

  • Letter balloons

  • Top-down framing - Jib

  • Create a fence wall to weave in flowers, ivy, and other nature like items

  • Mix up instruments/playful

Three looks

  • Full band balloons and playful

  • Single-member nature wall

  • Moody night look with Caleb - Clouds, Moving lights, and epic setting, bringing things together

  • Top-down framing

CHAPTER TWO

This video is the most simplistic but is weather dependant on outdoor looks. We want the band to feel more natural and less bright in terms of attire. A variety of shots of each member will make up the film's main look and a secondary story following a couple will break that up.

The story will be an adventurous trip in the woods to a picnic and embracing intimate romance, with the story progressing to the present day and not being with that lover. These moments will juxtapose the bright and airy day light looks and feel surreal with paper lanterns and night exteriors.

GENERAL IDEAS

  • Bright to dark utilizing two looks; bridging the gap through story and band shots

  • Single-member shots

  • Story follows two characters on a picnic and enjoying laughs and kiss

  • Prism plays a role and Dana Dolly may work well

  • Night scenes with Paper lanterns (White) and band playing

  • Night scene of the male lead in thought about lover

  • Airy, Green, Elegant

  • Rent grand piano

KISS ON THE MOON

This is the most extravagant and pro-level video of the three honing in with lots of talent, prep, a real feeling location, lots of props and scenes, and making a very cinematic music video.

In general, the idea is to showcase a girls-only slumber party with them having a good time, singing the song, and showing lots of energy, while Caleb schemes and tries to make an entrance for his crush (Kelly). Eventually, he gets inside through pop-out cake and gets a moment with Kelly and the video ends with a kiss and a superimposed moon backdrop.

GENERAL IDEAS

  • Show up to the party all glowed up

  • Name tags for fun

  • Girls only slumber party

  • 3 tries to get in: Exterminator, ? And pop out cake

  • Spin the bootle camera tricks

  • Silly string fights

  • Pillow fights

  • Girls playing music

  • Singing into hairbrushes or at each other (actual song)

  • Birthday cake eating

  • Dancing

  • Halfway playful shots

  • Pajama party

  • Pillow fight

  • Kiss at the end

HOW WE DO,

WHAT WE DO

PROCESS

Every project takes a similar approach to create success. The biggest factor is staying clear and transparent in communication. Both parties want a project to work smoothly. We aim to reduce stress and answer questions, so we are in the most creative production mindset. Pre-production requires syncing everyone’s schedules, securing gear, locations, and freelancers, as well as preparing wardrobe, MU, and props. We run a tight ship with to-do’s for all parties and that’s how we deliver such consistent projects and experiences for our clients. Our ask is that clients respect the process and help us gather information and confirm along the way.  Let’s make it a win-win scenario.

CAMERA DETAILS

We love camera systems that pack a punch, move the day along with little hesitation and look beautiful. This project has a few variations that we feel the RED Scarlet 5k system will handle best. Being able to switch between 24fps for performances at the standard motion to 48fps for talent and b-roll as well as 120fps for super slow motion all while staying in 4k resolution makes this the camera of choice.

Pairing this with wireless video to the monitor will keep the day moving fast. We're either going to add anamorphic lensing or filtration for the flaring and softness in examples for a top tier cinematic feel.

LIGHTING

We are keeping the lighting kit simple, lightweight, and packaged for travel. This will keep the project moving fast, allow more creative control, and let everyone work comfortably.

SHOOT DAY

We run our sets on a clean and fast time frame. We ask that clients be respectful of the schedule, but understanding that perfection can take time. Work with us, and we will all create the best project. We try to stay on schedule while being open to ideas that can make the project its best.

POST PRODUCTION

Internally we work through our rough cut to a fine cut for clients to fast track a single set of revisions. We can prioritize one piece over the other into a list we work down. 30-60 days turnaround time with one round of revisions. Bills at $100/hr with additional revisions.

DELIVERABLES

See each package for a specific breakdown of contents and differentiation. The list below is a general approach for base-level JECP projects.

REFERENCE FILMS

LOOKING OVER YOU

These two films combine interesting lighting, great framing, good actions, and simplicity we want to borrow from to make LOY a video that embodies the feeling and utilizes interesting props and good lighting to make this feel top tier for PFTM.

Best Aspects: Usage of color in lighting and props, Interesting framing, strong performances with acting.

CHAPTER TWO

This video is a great example to borrow from and with C2's structure to story, we want to break the film up to be upbeat and bright for both the band and talent characters/storyline and the second half to be darker and present time, giving the feeling that the past was happy and the male character is learning to live with the present.

Band shots will be isolated and in nature both during day and night. Night scenes will light with paper lanterns for interesting set pieces that match into Kiss on the Moon and similar to the balloons in Looking over you. This video will bridge the set design, props, and color together while feeling more natural.

Best Aspects: Lensing, Airy lighting, Prisms, Playful story, Band shots

KISS ON THE MOON

This party vibe video is pretty close. We see a mixture of games, activities, and interaction between the girl's parties, mixed with Caleb's efforts to enter the party being the break up of the film. The framing, energy, and playfulness of the girls is key here, so casting is the most crucial piece.

An additional level would be to have the girls do a few group singing and singular singing shots to make it like KOTM is this summer's hit track the girls can't stop singing.

Best Aspects: Hallway movement shots, interaction, energy, scene selections

CLIENT NOTE

In taking on this project at a discounted rate, we want to clarify why, deeper than doing a favor. In producing this production, we hope to earn your trust and create a behind-the-scenes vlog that helps exemplify how simple productions still have moving parts and can be produced high end. So we will be using the BTS as marketing and educational-based content.

We are viewing this production as an opportunity to re-invest in JECP’s marketing material over business growth. We will be using the agreed-upon rate to cover the base cost of operations, our freelancer rates, and aid in marketing efforts. Your contribution is in providing us new work and impacting how other artists learn from us and creatives we help grow in the creative community.

The money we are removing from the cost directly impacts reduced crew rates by 17%, Jr Editor for free, Pre-production for free, Post Production finishing for free (associated to PROPOSAL ONE - THREE), leaving hard costs of production and location/rentals non-negotiable items to make this project a reality.

The amount of planning they put into every project is unmatched.
