PROPOSAL EXPIRES: July 6th (Extended from December)

Matt & Fear Culture Team,

Since our partnership's inception in 2017, we've witnessed Fear Culture's evolving musical journey. Now, we are at a pivotal moment to produce compelling music videos and unify and solidify Fear Culture's brand identity. This proposal outlines our approach to harnessing the power of visual storytelling, ensuring each piece builds upon the last to create a cohesive and impactful brand narrative.

Below, we have listed a few options to review and tune back into us for scheduling, questions, or concerns. We're eager for you to dig in and review!

Our focus is to integrate visual elements from Fear Culture's current EP and recent visualizer, using color theory and thematic consistency to enhance brand identity. We propose two options, each designed to provide Fear Culture with a creative and strategic path forward.

Creative Direction | Help Me Forget

In our discussions about the upcoming track "Help Me Forget," we delved into the complexities of portraying PTSD and the journey from pain to healing. This song, rich in narrative, offers a unique opportunity to explore themes of time, memory, and the struggle between expectation and reality. Our objective is to create a music video that complements the track’s depth and strengthens the evolving identity of Fear Culture. By interweaving visual elements like the Rose Gold Color Theory and the character from the “Spiritual” video, we aim to establish a consistent and impactful visual narrative. This approach will enhance the individuality of "Help Me Forget" and contribute to a cohesive brand story for Fear Culture.

Our vision for this project is to craft a character-driven music video that resonates with the song's emotional core. We plan to utilize visual contrasts to depict the fractured nature of memory and perception and to bring the narrative of facing and overcoming inner demons to life. This production is more than just a music video; it’s a visual journey that mirrors the band's lyrical storytelling. We see this as a collaborative effort, where creative ideas about set design, character portrayal, and thematic consistency will be shared and refined together. By aligning our creative process with Fear Culture's artistic vision, we are set to produce a compelling video and a meaningful and resonant piece of art.

  • PTSD and Time: Exploring themes of pain, memory, and reality through a character-driven narrative.

  • Visual Contrast: Showcasing vibrant expectations against muted realities to symbolize fractured thinking.

  • Character Evolution: Reintroducing the idol character from "Spiritual," evolving their role to reflect the song's deeper themes.

Keywords: Human-centric, Real Stories, Growth-Mindset, Cohesion

We have three options listed below for investment and treat our music videos as products. We like to keep in mind relationship is the most important element to get right for great creative work. We've built a process that helps support great music videos, but more importantly, great experiences and building better artists.

In short, our highest option lets us batch produce more work over less time, pooling resources, helping maintain more consistency, and offsetting long-term costs. Our mid-tier option still lets us do damage but would strip back deliverables and resources, and typically, it is where most of our artists land project to project. It's safe while adding solid value. Our lowest option is great for testing the waters, but we recommend doing something more simplistic so that we can iron out details on future projects. This package is cheaper in total cost but is really focused on building trust to work into the next project.

A more curated experience serving a handcrafted set of deliverables to make the most significant impact, save the most long-term dollars, and increase our success rate in storytelling & marketing.

This is our signature set of deliverables, building upon the foundation of our discovery call objectives and digging into supportive content to help this project create more connections.

This is the essentials only, testing the waters with our relationship and delivering only on the core discovery call focus, working as a solid foundational step between parties.

Brand Integration and Marketing Strategy

While Fear Culture will spearhead its social media and website strategy, we aim to provide content that seamlessly integrates with these efforts. Our goal is to offer guidance and content that supports Fear Culture's ambitions of deepening fan connections and exploring new marketing avenues like IG ads and YouTube marketing.

Collaborative Approach

Fear Culture will contribute to the creative process by providing actors, attire, and props. Our team will lead the ideation and production, ensuring a high-quality output that aligns with Fear Culture's vision and brand objectives.

Long-Term Goals and Growth

This project is more than just producing music videos; it's about laying the groundwork for Fear Culture's long-term aspirations. We aim to create content that resonates with fans and industry professionals, fostering deeper connections and supporting Fear Culture's touring ambitions.

  • Unified Brand Narrative: Building a consistent and compelling visual story across multiple platforms.

  • Tailored Creative Options: Three strategic options designed to elevate Fear Culture's brand and deepen audience engagement.

  • Collaborative Production: A partnership approach in content creation, balancing internal contributions with our expertise in production.

  • Marketing Reinvention: Guidance and content creation to support new marketing strategies and fan engagement.

  • Long-Term Vision: Aligning with Fear Culture's aspirations for meaningful connections and industry growth.

We are excited about the possibility of embarking on this renewed journey with Fear Culture and look forward to discussing these options further.

real success for real artist

our process

Every project takes a similar approach to create success. The most significant factor is staying clear and transparent in communication. Both parties want a project to work smoothly. We aim to reduce stress and answer questions to have the most creative production mindset.

By being consistent, persistent, and dependable while treating people as people, we will deliver great experiences for both our clients and team, showcasing JECP as an example of great leadership in creativity, business practices, and community building,  ultimately leading to return customers, great word of mouth, and earning a positive reputation for care for our craft, service, and industry.

We work with artists and freelancers who embody these values, as it ensures forward progress, creative outcomes, and a culture of learners.

While providing a service has created a business, in each aspect, we strive to create a personal and human feeling to make all of this fun and approachable.

Our main goal is for these projects to establish a relationship over a transaction, and if we truly succeed, we create a transformation in our artists.

Our leadership embodies "asking why" and embracing the exciting and challenging conversations that drive relationships forward.

Understanding our partner's needs is our foundation. We remain open-minded to ensure people's viewpoints are heard, cultivating the best projects consistently.

There's a lack of accountability, ethics, and gatekeeping within the music industry.

We do honest work with clear intentions; ethics are king in our decision-making.

We believe this leads to personal trust and the healthiest work setting, community, and vulnerability.

We partner with those who value a focus on growth, sustainability, and proactive momentum.

These efforts make for win-win-win scenarios, celebrating success together. The success of each artist and creative supports the success of the next. We make each play one at a time, realizing the long game takes a group effort by our team and our clients.

Practical Set Design, and Creative Direction

These videos stand out the most to us from our conversation. Beyond a performance video, each of these has great energy, but also a really cool and intentional set design. Thinking about growth and how we feel dealing with life's challenges the plant life could be a symbol of life and death. Maybe in one video use this to showcase growth and another more challenging subject showcasing death or destruction. This is just a loose idea. Additionally, we really enjoy the consistency in attire and fashion for these videos. Look them over and gather some thoughts for our call. these aren't meant to be exact copies, but inspiration pieces!

Something to Consider: The Band Story

A big push we want to make in the coming years is using our documentary filmmaker muscles. Our whole other business in the corporate space focused on this skillset, and feel most artists could benefit from this. If you land on the top option, we would like to gift this for free in the package.

Think mini-doc, but we get to the heart of why this band is around, the experience and aspirations you guys have and to get a bit vulnerable a human about how important this project has been to you. Sharing mainly the Denihilist film here but also tagging in a few others that are emotionally powerful. The idea here is to make something a bit more evergreen and not just promote an album, but create a legacy piece for what this band stands for.

Take some time to review your proposal with your team, and on our next call, we can dig into the nitty-gritty. During this call, we can decide which option suits you best and draw up the invoice, contract, and other paperwork needed to make it official.

After the contract, we officially enter pre-production, setting dates, securing locations, props, gear, team, and all the small things in between. The plan.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions or concerns. We are eager to build something special!

JECP is honored to work with talented artists, serve great experiences, and make ideas possible.  In working with us, you grow our small business, continue our operations, provide freelancers jobs, help serve our vendors, and allow our footprint on your musical journey.

We love our work, appreciate the artists who trust us and want to keep moving this business onward.

- Josh & Ross

"They excel at so many things; it's almost scary.

The amount of planning they put into every project is unmatched.

It's comforting to see how much they care about the project

and how every single detail is thought out well before the shoot date."
