MULT-FILM ALBUM CAMPAIGN

HI ASOP TEAM,

Our main objective is to build a project that supports this next album release with consistency and a focus on the whimsical elements of escapism.

OVERVIEW

We’ve built a proposal with three options focused on brand consistency and playing into escapism and the whimsical vibes of each track. Overall these films are designed to be a step above what other artists in the Ohio Area are producing to the help the ASOP brand stand out visually above the rest. Our two stories focus on growing up and leaving behind childhood and what it’s like to give too much of yourself away to others and how that can negatively effect your sense of self.

CREATIVE

PEYOTE COOKIES

This video is our main focus on going big and building something whimsical. In format we see this being roughly 50/50 with the band to storyline and shooting more cinematically with a defined storyline. The tone with feel dark with surreal elements that feel dreamlike and pushing the band between ideas stuck in your mind and actually in the storyline setting.

The general storyline we aim to work towards is a boy waking in the night and realizing his sleep time friend (teddy bear of some sort) has come to life. This imaginary friend takes him to the woods for an adventure through the night. Think “Where the wild things are” and as they make it to the woods there are china ball lights hanging where they dance together, laugh and spend time together. As we pass through this the imaginary friend begins to fade from him (growing up and leaving childlike things behind).

For the band shots, we have two looks. Single shots that are dark and through walls with holes in them letting ideas in through small cracks and then also doing full band shots under the china balls in the woods.

BACK IN STYLE

This videO will be more of a hard hitter on band shots and interesting b-roll that keeps viewers interest. We see 80/20 band to b-roll. For these we want to shoot 2-3 looks for the band shots, all single members to make for better lighting and high energy. The storyline will be around a single character slowly becoming more pale, drained and strained from being attached to cables.

For the story we are going to bring in electrical cables, tubes and LED strips to build a chair that the character is tied to with these symbolizing things being downloaded and uploaded draining or giving back to the character. This is the base working idea that will flesh out closer as we get to production.

For the band shots we want to go lighting heavy with a mixture of shots on Orange back drop, black and potentially green screen to build simple VFX over the band shots. As well we will shoot video portraits of the members to give an Ashy vibe like you are burning up or disintegrating away.

PLAYTHROUGHS + PROMOS

In addition to the main music videos we have the PROPOSAL A designed to achieve a full campaign for ASOP with a led Promos session as well as matching images from the MV sets to add content to the full cycle and dedicating a separate camera system to playthroughs for the other tracks on Story line days.

With all this content we aim to maximize time, create more content and most importantly, match the content in terms of either set design, color or micro-content for streaming purposes.

HOW WE DO,

WHAT WE DO

PROCESS

Every project takes a similar approach to create success. The biggest factor is staying clear and transparent in communication. Both parties want a project to work smoothly. We aim to reduce stress and answer questions so we are in the most creative mindset during production. Pre-production requires syncing everyone’s schedules, securing gear, locations, and freelancers as well as preparing wardrobe, MU, and props. We run a tight ship with to-do’s for all parties and that’s how we deliver such consistent projects and experiences for our clients. Our ask is that clients respect the process and help us gather information and confirm along the way.  Let’s make it a win-win scenario.

CAMERA DETAILS

We love camera systems that pack a punch, move the day along with little hesitation and look beautiful. This project has a few variations that we feel the RED Scarlet 5k system will handle best. Being able to switch between 24fps for performances at the standard motion to 48fps for talent and b-roll as well as 120fps for super slow motion all while staying in 4k resolution makes this the camera of choice.

Pairing this with wireless video to the monitor will keep the day moving fast. We're either going to add anamorphic lensing or filtration for the flaring and softness in examples for a top tier cinematic feel.

LIGHTING

We are keeping the lighting kit simple, lightweight, and packaged for travel. This will keep the project moving fast, allow more creative control, and let everyone work comfortably.

SHOOT DAY

We run our sets on a clean and fast time frame. We ask that clients be respectful of the schedule, but understanding that perfection can take time. Work with us, and we will all create the best project. We try to stay on schedule while being open to ideas that can make the project its best.

POST PRODUCTION

Internally we work through our rough cut to a fine cut for clients to fast track a single set of revisions. We can prioritize one piece over the other into a list we work down. 30-40 days turnaround time with one round of revisions. Bills at $100/hr with additional revisions.

CLIENT NOTE

In taking on this project at a significantly discounted rate we want to clarify why, deeper than doing a favor. In producing this production we hope to not only earn your trust but also create a behind the scenes vlog that helps exemplify how simple productions still have moving parts and can be produced high end. So we will be using the BTS as marketing and educational based content.

We are viewing this production as an opportunity to re-invest in JECP’s marketing material over business growth. We will be using the agreed-upon rate to cover the base cost of operations, our freelancer rates and to aid in marketing efforts. Your contribution is not only in providing us new work but impacting how other artists learn from us and other creatures we help grow in the creative community.

The money we are removing from the cost directly impacts reduced crew rates by 17%, Jr Editor for free, Pre-production for free, Post Production finishing for Free, leaving hard costs of production, costume, and location/rentals being the non-negotiable items to make this project a reality.

what's next?

review. decide. sign.

Take some time to look at these proposals over together, ask questions and on our next call, we can dig into the nitty-gritty. During this call, we can decide which option suits you best and draw up the invoice, contract, and other paperwork needed to make it official.

Once we have an agreement we officially enter pre-production; setting dates, securing locations, props, gear, team, and all the small things in between.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions or concerns. We're are eager to build something special for the ASOP team and hope one of these sticks!
